As Election Day gets ever closer, the noise from many voices get louder. As is the case in so many discussions, there are truths, lies, distortions, and exaggerations. In the midst of all this noise, fundamental objective truths do remain, with one of them being a person's right to life, regardless of age. It is in this context I offer the following as we prepare to vote for candidates for many offices of government:

If a candidate is fundamentally wrong on such a basic and preeminent human rights issue of grave consequence to the most innocent in our society and to our own future, how can I trust the candidate to make moral and prudent decisions on many other important social justice issues pertaining to the common good?
