The entrance antiphon for this Sunday proclaims: “Let the hearts that seek the Lord rejoice; turn to the Lord and His strength, constantly seek His face.” This begs the question; how do we seek the Lord each day? Are we like, the blind man in today’s Gospel, maybe not physically blind but blind to the movements of God in our midst? Do we each call out to Jesus to have pity on me in our seeking Him out? Jesus responds to our seeking and calls us to come to Him with all our needs and when He sees the faith in our hearts, He can heal us of our blindness, and we can more freely follow Jesus and His ways. We need to have the courage that the disciples told the blind man to have, as we each approach Jesus in our prayer time. Then as we respond to what God gives to us, we can praise God like the Psalmist: “The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.” Let us pray for one another, as we help each other on our journey deeper in faith. In this month of the rosary, may we pray the rosary with faith and trust that Mary, our Mother, will draw us closer to Her Son, Jesus Christ.
