The Church celebrates the 4
th Sunday of Easter this weekend and as things go so may things are changing around us. The month of May is often thought of as Mary’s month and the U.S. Bishops conference has asked all Dioceses and Parishes to renew our Consecration of our country to the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother. This will take place at the end of Masses this weekend. It is a good opportunity for each of us to draw ourselves closer to Jesus Christ through Mary, as she will always point us toward Her Son.
The Church also celebrates World Day of Prayer for Vocations, asking the Lord to work in the hearts of those He is calling to come and serve His Church. We are thankful to God for how He continues to bless the Diocese of Bismarck with young men responding to God’s voice with their lives.
As we continue to move and navigate through these different times, what normal will look like for each of us may be different for a while yet. We need to ask Jesus, our Good Shepherd, to grant us patience and strength. For as the Gospel tells us, we follow His voice and He will lead us through the right gate, for we know His voice and there is nothing we shall want anymore than what He will provide.
