I wish to begin by first expressing to you all, the good people of Christ the King, how grateful I am for your continued financial support of your parish during the last two months. By no means has the parish taken in the usual amount of collection but that which has been coming in is helping to sustain the parish in these difficult times. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Jesus teaches us that if we truly love Him and keep His commandments, then He will ask the Father to always watch over us and help us in our needs, with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the Father does care for each and everyone of us as His beloved children, so let us stay close to Him. Peter tells us to “sanctify Christ as Lord in our hearts and to be ready to proclaim and share Him with those we encounter in our lives.” We may have to suffer in doing the good works of God, but God will reward us for doing so. We continue to hear how the Church was growing in number because of the preaching of the Apostles and the wonderous works they were sharing in the midst of the people, who were coming to believe. Let us continue to lift one another up in prayer and our acts of kindness so others may come to know and believe through how we live our lives of faith in our community.
