On this Sunday following Easter Sunday the Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday, a celebration of how Jesus Christ poured out from His Sacred Heart blood and water to wash us with His mercy. This brings us, the community of believers, to be of one mind and heart with Jesus and to allow His wish of peace to come upon us. Let us never doubt the depth of God’s love for us, that comes to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. We may not be able to put our fingers in the nail marks on Jesus’ physical body, but we can truly know that He indeed has risen and shows Himself to each of us in His presence in the Holy Eucharist. Let us today pray in a special way for our youth who are receiving Jesus in the Holy Eucharist for the first time, may Jesus always nourish them and help them to grow in their faith.
