This Sunday of Easter is ofen known as ‘Good Shepherd Sunday’ as the readings refect how Jesus is the chief Shepherd of our Souls. St. Peter continues to proclaim to the people of how Jesus was crucifed but that God has raised Him from the dead, as our Lord. The people ask what are they to do and are told by Peter to repent of their sins and be baptized so they too could receive the gif of the Holy Spirit. Hopefully through your Baptism into Christ’s death and resurrection, you too will repent of your sins and be open to the outpouring of the gifs of the Holy Spirit in your life. These gifs assist you in knowing and trusting that Jesus watches over us with great care and love. Jesus wants us to hear His voice and to follow Him as our Shepherd wherever He may lead us. Let Jesus open the gates of our hearts to Him so we can recognize His voice and come to Him so that we may have life and have it more abundantly with Him. I am still away on pilgrimage being refreshed and praying for you all, I will return later this week.
