As the Church gathers in prayer and praise to our God, Jesus is very much in our midst as He promises to always be with us. The readings this week draw us into the loving presence of our God as we abide in His love. Loving God and neighbor go hand in hand and seeking forgiveness for ourselves and giving forgiveness to others is just one example of loving our neighbor in a real way. We share the calling to help one another get to heaven and in assisting our neighbor we receive more graces from God. So let us not have hard hearts and open ourselves up to the voice of God, as He speaks to us through His Son, Jesus and through the words of Sacred Scripture. God’s Word brings us to new life and fulfills the promise of His love for each of us.
A reminder that the annual God’s Share Appeal weekend in next weekend, so please plan ahead and bring to Mass your pledge/gift envelope.
