Spring is in the air these last few days, though we know that can always change rapidly around North Dakota!! It is my favorite time of year anyway, especially since we as a Church enter into the most beautiful and wonderful time of Holy Week: Palm Sunday, the Triduum, and Easter, with all the mystery within the celebrations of God’s power and love for His people. That being said, it is sad not being able to celebrate these great days with you present, we will be trying to make sure you can join us for each one of the celebrations via livestream on the parish website page with a link to the celebration.
I continue to encourage you to check the website regularly for information and to stay connected with your parish. Always call if you are in need of anything! I know that the Cathedral has a video to pray the Rosary and the Stations of the Cross on their website, along with daily Mass. No one knows how long this will go on, but there are many other ways to grow in your faith available.
The parish has FORMED for educational, devotional, and healthy entertainment options. The Augustine Institute also is providing ways to help keep your spiritual life alive while not being able to attend Mass and receive the Eucharist. Hopefully you know that the church is open daily for prayer as well as the chapel, with confessions available Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Remember if you can financially support the parish it is greatly appreciated so we can pay the regular bills. This can be done on-line or with ACH giving, just call the office to get signed up. You can also mail your offertory envelopes to the office or drop them in the basket at the main entry area, thank you so much!
My heart is heavy in these days, but I know we will get through it together if we are praying for and caring for one another. Blessed palms will be available in the main entry area of the church following the live Sunday Mass broadcast. Stay strong, healthy, and faithful to God and He will stay close to you! May we grow in desire to receive our Lord in Holy Communion in this time of separation, unite spiritually to Him each day.
