Our true freedom is a gift from God.

As we celebrate our country and the freedoms we have, let remember that our true freedom is a gift from God, as He allows us to choose to follow His ways and in doing so thus gives us all that we need. Jesus was sent into our world to teach us about the love the Father has for His creation. God has given us the ability to come to know, love, and serve; as He has given us the capability to think and reason, discerning the ways of God in our lives. Jesus helps to carry our burdens and sorrows, but He is also there to rejoice with us when we experience great joys in our lives. The Spirit of the Lord is upon us, providing all that we need to know and experience God’s presence and to lead us to walking on the right paths toward Him and to eternal life with Him. May we not grow weary of seeking refuge with our Lord daily, who lifts us up and holds us close to Himself. It is then that we experience true freedom in the presence of our God!
