SB 2180 Has Been Withdrawn!

Statement from the North Dakota Catholic Conference on withdrawal of SB 2180:

After calling for more to be done to prevent child abuse, Senator Judy Lee withdrew SB 2180, the bill that would have threatened the seal of confession.

We share in Senator's Lee call to do more to prevent child abuse. We simply disagreed about the bill. The North Dakota Catholic Conference looks forward to working with her and all legislators for the protection of the weakest among us and the common good.
