From the prophets to the saints and to our Blessed Mother, Mary, we have many examples for us to be imitators of and receiving joy from the Holy Spirit. The entrance antiphon for this Sunday says it all, in a sense: “Let the hearts that seek the Lord rejoice; turn to the Lord and His strength; constantly seek His face.” This is good advice and it will help us to follow Jesus in our daily lives, for without God we can do nothing. This is true especially when it comes to following the commandments of God. Are we loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind; and our neighbor as yourself? We are not aliens to God but His children and He will remain with us through all things: our struggles, our joys, our challenges and our accomplishments. With the love of God within us, we will indeed find great strength and carry out the works of love God is calling us to share.
