Mr. Windsor was born in Missouri and raised in Bismarck where he attended St. Mary’s Elementary and St. Mary’s High School. Upon graduating in 2015, John pursued a call to join the Seminary for the Diocese of Bismarck. He attended four years of minor seminary at Saint John Paul II Seminary in Washington D.C. where he was formed in Christian discipleship and earned a Pontifical Degree of Philosophy. Mr. Windsor spent the next two years of seminary in Saint Louis, MO where he studied Pastoral Counseling and Theology.
It was during these two years that Mr. Windsor was first introduced to the Montessori Method and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS). Aware of a gift of art and calligraphy, a pastor approached Mr. Windsor to produce illuminated prophecy cards for the Atrium. Intrigued how they might be used and encouraged by a parish DRE, Mr. Windsor attended a Level I training in CGS in 2020.
After discerning that he was no longer call to continue in formal seminary formation, Mr. Windsor accepted a position as a Lower Elementary Aide at a Catholic Montessori School. It was here that Mr. Windsor was introduced to his future wife, Shelby. Together they taught the varied curriculum of Montessori for the following two years.
Following this blessed time, Mr. Windsor and Shelby were happily wed on June 16, 2023. After their wedding Mr. Windsor continued his pursuit of a Master’s in Theology and began substituting for Christ the King where he enjoyed working with nearly every age of the Elementary Child. Mr. Windsor is excited to continue serving Jesus in His Children as a Full-Time Atrium Guide.
